Friday- Rant Alert

I did not follow advice to myself today about avoiding reading articles on the CV pandemic and an article on woefully inadequate response of the UK government to the situation unfolding in March when we had the opportunity to lessen the spread of we had acted quicker. There are large hotspots in Gloucestershire at the moment - ah, Cheltenham Festival went ahead on 16 March despite the horrendous death tolls being written about in Lombardy. Fans of Athletico Madrid travelling to Liverpool on 11 March while their own city was shutting down while we had Sir Patrick Vallance advocating herd immunity if 60 % of the population contracted CV19. Flawed strategy! Expert???

Now the U.K. is on course for having the largest amount of deaths in Europe. There is a lack of PPE for our wonderful NHS staff, now being asked to reuse one use protective gowns. Would that idiot Hancock asking them to do this actually put himself in danger?? Would he hell! How dare he expect them to put their lives at risk for his/government failings to prepare. Maybe if they (Tory government) hadn’t ignored the report published a couple of years ago into a possible pandemic gowns would t be in short supply. People are sewing scrubs, a 99 year old veteran has to raise money cos the NHS has been starved of cash and run down to the bare bones for 10 bloody years! Testing? Bought kits from China that were found to be useless wasting millions. I could go on and on. We have a government led by donkeys . Leaders??? I’d rather have put my trust in school kids than BOJO, Hancock, Raab etc etc. Let’s hope an enquiry is set up into their woeful handling of this pandemic from the start.
