So that happened.

So many things I didn't anticipate, that seem obvious in hindsight. I guess that is true for many of us. 

The states have defense forces. When you find yourself hoping that state defense forces, combined with police, are able to put down armed insurrections, you should be joking or discussing fiction. 

I'm glad I went out and took pictures of the hedgehog though. It cheered me up. For the first time Samuel decided to be part of the picture with HIS toy.  As soon as I was through I turned around and saw my deer friends.
