Day 24

This is Bertie, the semi-wild cockatoo that lives in a pohutukawa tree in the reserve at the end of our street. He's a delight for the local kids, to whom he often says ..."hello" ...in his quirky parrot voice. He disappears from time to time, but the rumour is that he is taken by his owners to Waiheke Island for a holiday.
