The Goldfinch and the Japanese Maple

I positioned the bird feeder inline with a miniature Japanese maple so that I could get a decent background.  This American Goldfinch (looks like a breeding male but missing the black forehead?) landed on a budding branch of the Crepe Myrtle tree right next to the feeder and stayed long enough for me to get some decent shots.
