Unappreciated Shibboleth

In the afternoon, I had a long but surprisingly sane conversation with my wee brother.
In the evening we went out to an evening of music...singers of (generally) an unrehearsed kind, singing radical songs (mostly in the Scots language). It was at the invitation of our lovely friend BonsaiMistress, a relatively new blipper, who has just returned to Edinburgh.
It was a very familiar type of evening for us (well, especially for Meles), since it was entirely floor-singers, slightly disorganised, and (as I said) under-rehearsed. Enjoyable :)
What they didn't seem to realise was that they were reinventing the folk-club from a hundred years ago... the proof being the fact that they had a raffle at half time: the prizes were 2 bottles of boggin rose wine, some tiles and a selection of male skin-care products.
That's a Folk Club. No doubt.
Enjoyable night out, though...
