The Melton Road
I chose to do a circular bike ride via East Langton again this morning. I rested at the bench near the Fishing Lake (extra) and looked back down the Melton Road towards Harborough to take this shot. The smoke is from a rather large conflagration - a bonfire of brash from thinning a copse as far as I could tell. Unfortunately for me, the wind took the smoke across the road where there is a rise. Anything less than a 10% gradient in my favour and I am taking in air in great lungfuls so I didn't particularly enjoy those few yards of the ride! The remainder of the ride was great, however - I am continuously grateful for having access to nearby countryside and to be able to get out and just be in it.
