St. Nicholas’s Church, Otham
Found a painted rock in Mote Park. Left there at sometime in the past by a member of the Staplehurst Rocks group. I can’t say whether Staplehurst rocks on a Saturday night or any other night for that matter.
Today’s blip is of St Nicholas’s Church, Otham, a small village on the edge of Maidstone under threat of being developed for housing. If the planners get their way this old church will be surrounded by houses on all sides instead of countryside. And this is being enacted all over the country.
Spent some time at the allotment finishing off cultivating the rest of the old brassica bed, the last area of the plot to be done. Peas are up and the second sowing of beans are through. Looking good, weeding is the order of the days to come.
Tomato plants arrived today, bought them online some weeks ago rather than growing from seed. Chillies too. Greenhouse is getting packed and more to sow yet.
