A little ray of sunshine

Beautiful Blossom

When I ran under this tree the other day there was a chap in a tuxedo playing a violin being photographed. Strange times! His playing was a beautiful as the blossom and a good excuse to stop part way up the hill to listen!

The weather turned out to be much better than forecast today, the kids still being on holiday were slow to rise but I did manage to get them out late morning to complete week3, day2 of our couch to 5k. C didn't enjoy Tuesday's run at all and was adamant she was quitting but was persuaded out and ran it no problem, admitting most of her 'can't do it' is in her head. I know where she's coming from!!

I sent the kids home after and went off on my own, down through a very quiet village, through an equally quiet park and up on to the glen. The road has been closed along the edge of the moor making it much more enjoyable for runners, walkers and cyclists and there were understandably quite a few about. It was too hot for my liking, but I did enjoy it for the first time in ages.

We had a late lunch in the garden then spent much of the afternoon out there, reading, relaxing and taking brief dips in the paddling pool.

This evening we had our postponed April WI meeting where we were informed and inspiredd by the lovely Jo Moseley, the first person to paddleboard across Britain from Liverpool to Goole. A very successful first virtual WI meeting with 48 of us there!
