Pretty in pink

This flowering cherry has self seeded in the ivy growing along one of our back walls.The ivy is actually from next door and basically now holds the wall together as it’s roots have pushed out a lot of the pointing. Thankfully it is kept under control as a similar less well controlled ivy caused the collapse of a neighbour’s wall. Many years ago pruning was potentially hazardous as a satellite dish had its cable passed through the ivy! This was then accidentally cut by the neighbours gardener.
