"Cheese"

I know I should be happy. Everyone is fit and healthy. Everyone is loved and adored. I really don't have any foundation to complain. Ernie is incredibly cute. He's adorable. I'll do anything for him but still I'm struggling. I'm struggling to adjust to life as a dad. I'm not after sympathy. It's just harder than I imagined, and I imagined some pretty hard work.

Last night Ernie surprised us all and rolled over from his front to his back, entirely on his own. Not to rest on his laurels, he did it again this morning! Also, quite amazingly, he's also beginning to bare his weight when we stand him on our laps.

He may yet to have found a smile but he's more than mustered his muscles.
