Yellow Post

Our late afternoon walk across the fields was in delightful weather - no wind, warm but not hot and sunny. We continue to appreciate how lucky we are.

The footpaths around here (and Leicestershire generally, I think) are marked with tall yellow topped post markers at field boundaries. They can be extremely useful when you're not familiar with a walk - they're fairly reliable and maintained - occasionally there'll be a broken one or, more often, one hidden in an overgrown hedgerow - but overall a welcome aid.
