From a sack of bulbs

In recent weeks I have been messaging ‘chat’ a friend's mum who lives in the village. The friend lives in France and was due to visit around now to celebrate her mums 80th. Her mum must have felt very disappointed to have the family visit cancelled especially this year for her big birthday although a cake has been ordered and believe some bunting will appear.

The place we live in was built by our friend's parents who moved here 44 years ago and part of their baggage was a sack of daffodil bulbs, then planted and since multiplied. When message chatting this morning I mentioned how pretty they are looking and asked if she had planted them, yes a sack load. We are pleased they did. A little bit of recent history which is rather pleasant.
