Frayed around the edges

Such a lovely day today......warmer again too!

As we were out of bread we decided on a walk to the bakery this morning, then back home via a different route.

A quick change into shorts & a vest top, sun cream applied, then coffee sat in the sunshine next.

Hub read his paper, I was trying to read, but kept getting distracted......what with those annoying hover flies and the sun being so bright, half the time all I could see was my own reflection! I did go fetch my Kindle, but it needed charging :-/

A late lunch, sandwich for hub and a stuffed pitta bread for me...goats cheese, serano ham, rocket with tomato cucumber & cornichons :-)

I wondered around the garden with my camera....ended up with a few shots to choose from for todays blip. I lay on the grass to get this shot. I like the way the sun is streaming through the frayed petals of the red tu lips.

By late afternoon we had finished the crosswords, the quizzes, the word wheel, scrabble and whatever the other brainteasers are in the paper......hub went indoors fo,listen to the daily report. I decided to stay put....just lay out on the garden furniture listening to the birds, my mind wandering. Its weird, it almost feels like a holiday, no pressures, no family or friends around..... doing your own thing, sunny warm weather. You can almost forget whats actually going on in the outside world......well for a short while at least.

We took our usual route around the estate this evening before dinner....for the first time in a few weeks managed 10k steps today :-)
Dinner tonight was bbq ribs with fried rice, with onions, peas & stirfried broccoli.
