Only JG Ballard could have foretold - in 1975 - a world where all Human interaction would be conducted via television screens. From ‘Crash’ to ‘The Intensive Care Unit’ and ‘The Drowned World’ he predicted the internet, climate change and the age of hyper-celebrity. In light of current events his prescience is incredible - a viewpoint not lost on the NewStatesMan recently.
