The Art Table... LOCK DOWN WK 4

...is all tidied away now.
Frank finished his painting and I'm just waiting for the Mod Podge varnish to arrive so I can varnish my stone houses and slate plant markers so they can go out in the garden.

It was just me and Bella May at home today.
Frank went to the boat to do some urgent work on the chimney and flue pipe.
It's OK to go there as there is nobody else on the moorings.

I spent most of the day in the garden. Potted on some seedlings and chatted to the neighbours over the fences - at the correct distance!
We have the nicest neighbours - next door and next but one on either side. We exchange anecdotes, gardening tips, reminisce about the 'good old days' and moan about the Corona virus and the lock down. We're all in the same boat. Even the kids chat away with us, ask how we are and tell us what they are up too.
Bella loves the neighbours too and wanders in and out of their gardens as if they belonged to her! She loves Harry and Archie, the boys next door and I think they love her too!

I took Bella for her evening walk and a lady I know from the pub music sessions was in her garden. She gave me some lovely flowers to plant in our garden (we didn't touch, she put them in a new plastic bag on the wall) I think they're actually a wild flower - Cuckoo Flower/Lady's Smock. They're a very pale lilac and very pretty. I planted them as soon as I got back then washed my hands thoroughly!
I've covered up some plants with garden fleece tonight.
I noticed on my walk this evening that some lovely shrubs I had admired yesterday - a small white magnolia and a rhododendron had been got at by the frost and the blooms had gone to mush.

The order of dried goods arrived from The Grape Tree - nuts and seeds, various dried fruit, des.coconut, vegan stock powder, hummus crisps.

All in all it's been a good day.
