Better late than never
It my have taken nearly 20 years, but I have just appreciated M’s Christmas present of a ‘brabrantia ironing board’ from Christmas 2000.
I remember thinking that he had cleverly disguised an artists easel with the tablecloth, but no, his present was ‘the most expensive ironing board that John Lewis sold’
at the time.(he did also get me a bracelet, but that isn’t a good a story)
It is still going strong, obviously a quality investment by M, and today it has really come into its own. I’m making scrubs bags for the NHS, and am making lots of strips for bag ties. The ironing board not only has a pinnable cover, but also has dots at just the right width apart to facilitate folding.
