Life on the Mothership!

Day XXXIV

Midnight sun over Scandinavia. Finally got around to framing our 2013 trip. This is the one where I said to Finnish carer Meri shall we drive to Finland to see your parents?  Yes she said never for one minute thinking we would. It was this trip where we first started camping off campsites. I never know what to call it. It’s not wild camping and neither is is free camping. We’re not doing it because we don’t want to pay for a campsite. We’re doing it because of the amazing places we find ourselves in. We try and get a sunrise or sunset over water. The single track roads off the beaten track that lead to water have led us to some unforgettable places.   Big Fish has swam and washed in lakes and rivers. Our confidence grew and now I would take him most places spontaneously knowing  we’ll cope come what may. We don’t off camp in countries where they don’t allow and for some reason off camping in England is not the same.
