Bee Fly

Today's the day ………………………. to recognise

Now that I know what I'm looking at, having blipped it last week, it was easy to recognise this bee fly when it flew past me in the garden today.  And I could see what a good idea that long proboscis is if you're trying to extract nectar from the long deep flowers of a forget-me-not. 

It worked a treat ……………………...
