Axiom

I tried to do the right thing, at the time. Someone else felt I'd fallen short, and told me so, in no uncertain terms.

With hindsight, perhaps I could have handled it differently, and yet in the moment I did what I thought was best.

I had to remind myself of this axiom, and it was handy that I was sharing it with my group today anyway, so there it was in front of me, just begging to be blipped.
