Early Bird

An early bird. My magpie braving the wind as I did in my hide which seemed to billow around me making a huge racket occasionally! 

Not a worm by the look of it but a leatherjacket, the larvae of the crane fly or daddy longlegs which is great for the corvids to eat as they eat the roots and stem bases of the plants and grass.
