Helping Maintain Family Links

It started off making a matching pair of woollen dolls for a family with a child in the Neo-natal Ward. One stayed with the baby and one went home. If the struggle proved unequal and a life lost then the dolls were switch and the grieving parents had a very physical connection to their lost child. The other went with the parents love with their child on its journey.

Today my wife and her friends are busy knitting pairs of hearts to those with relatives in the ICUs at our local DGH. There is a plan to get them there without breaking Social-Distancing rules or Essential journey guidelines
