Autumn Day

The warm nor’wester of the last couple has turned nasty. There was blue sky and sunshine, but the wind was as chilly as a southerly. Quite suddenly about half the leaves have gone from the pin oak. Here are a few of the remainder, backlit, with the dark hedge beyond.

My son discovered that the supermarket he went to last week delivers in our area. Today we made up a list and ordered online. They can deliver next Friday! Now that’s something to look forward to.

I’m sad to hear of the passing of Tim Brooke-Taylor due to coronavirus. He was such a funny performer. I’ll never forget his automatic hospital visitor sketch. It was so frenetic. Thanks Tim.
