Final blue?

Odd sort of day. We had breakfast out side, which was nice. After breakfast I gave all the garden furniture a wash and cleaned the box they live in out. The builders dropped a rock on it, so the lid has been broken, so at the moment there is a tarp wrapped round it to keep the rain out.

I strimmed the stepping stones on the lawn, and then helped to make dinner, beetroot and chickpea humus. We had some chickpea water left over so we foamed it up with the whisk and added it to some sorbet, but there was a load left so we tried making meringues from it. It takes quite a bit of whipping and you aren't really sure exactly how much sugar to add to it, but it actually works very well.


Today's blip is one of the last of the bluebell plants, most of them are looking a bit scorched now and the flowers are past their best, though the rain that started just after I put everything away may give them another day's life...
