By the weir

Had a local walk this morning along a path that we’ve not taken before. It took us alongside a small river that we normally join further down. The river now has lots of weirs in it (main photo) that were built following a flood in which a local mill and three workers were washed away.

The extra shows plants that are starting to appear alongside the path, not sure what they will grow in to though.
