Easter Sunday
Happy Easter to everyone! Another beautiful day, and rather warm, there could be some Easter egg hunts today ending in tears with melted eggs! We haven't bought Easter eggs for years as the boys don't really eat chocolate so there was no chocolate this morning.
Another lovely walk to the woods with Xena - I won't be able to go see the dense mass of bluebells this year in the nearby woods as it would necessitate a drive there and we are not allowed to do that during lockdown, but I found a few growing under a hedge where I had to almost scramble under the hedge to get this shot.
We phoned Gavin's mum to wish her happy Easter, and she was saying in her care home where she is in the frail care unit everyone has their temperature taken every morning and every evening, and the staff also have their temperature taken before they enter the unit. I wonder if care homes are doing that here in the UK? The virus does not seem to have taken hold in South Africa as was expected, a read a report saying that hospitals and medical staff are ready with wards set up and equipment available and yet the wards are all empty.
The boys enjoyed more croquet on the lawn today, I have added an extra of the players as an extra. Thomas is going to give haircuts later so I thought it best to get a photo now before we have some disastrous results!
Good news that Boris is out of hospital - and we wait to hear tomorrow how much longer our lockdown will be extended by. After a hot weekend of temperatures around 25C it is going to suddenly drop to 12C tomorrow. Another BBQ for supper tonight as tomorrow we will be back to eating indoors again.
