A day for the birds!

Another wonderful sunny day and an early morning walk.  Had a text from my daughter this morning to say that grandad had been taken to hospital, not the virus but really poorly.  Also had a phone call from my son which cheered me up.  Had a headache again today, annoying, so been relaxing.

I have always loved hearing the skylarks but rarely see them.  As I was walking the fields this morning I saw something ahead of me on the path, excited I stood still and managed to get a few shots before it took off.  This was at a distance so not as clear as I would have liked.  The extra was taken at the village duckpond, not seen any ducklings yet.
