Shottery

Yesterday evening we watched the film Blinded by the Light. The story of a young Pakistani man who is introduced to the music of Bruce Springstein whilst at college.  The lyrics have a profound effect on him and he goes on to be a successful poet and writer.

Today we sat in the garden listening to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band via the magic of Bluetooth.  The neighbours must love us!

We went out for a short walk this afternoon, Ann having been out over the fields earlier today, but likes to come out with me to shield me from the Stratford populus.

In Shottery I spotted this cottage having a new roof fitted. Thatched roofs are quite popular in the village even with the recent new builds, of which this is not one.
