Still life

This sort of sums up today. There is still snow and there is still life underneath it.

The walk today was very laborious as while the snow has taken quite a shift due to the amount inches of slush remain on the ground and walking through it is incredibly exhausting and not at all as uplifting as the deep snow had been. All the snow has left the tree canopy and there is a lot of debris lying around - the flotsam and jetsam of a heavily wooded area. The weather was also laboured and in three minds what to do - offer blue sky, revel in threatening and low clouds or blow a gale laden with sharp sleety pellets.
