Surprise (Day 1801)

I was on hoss duties this morning, so trundled across to Stromness first thing and gave them some feed and changed rugs.
Back home I got started on making a surprise cake for  my beautiful wife. By the time I had prepped it, cleared up the kitchen and taken it out of the oven, it was time for some lunch. I left the cake to cool while I took the woofers a wander at Lyde. The wind was fairly strong but Talisker seemed to enjoy running through the heather and I lost sight of him several times.
I iced the cake when I got home, before heading out to the shed to fiddle with the rotavator some more.
