Long shadow on the Meadow with blossom almost out

This afternoon Mr hazelh and I cycled up to Morningside to deliver our 5040-piece jigsaw of the Quarrel of Oberon and Titania by Sir Joseph Noel Paton to our god-daughter Katie. That should keep her entertained for a while!

I gave the puzzle to Mr hazelh as a birthday present in the last 1980s. We never managed to finish it at the time - we had to pack it away in sections when we moved house - so it will be interesting to see if Katie and her family complete the job. Perhaps the lockdown will be lifted in time for us to have the honour of placing the final piece?

Also today I proof-read the latest of Mr hazelh's photobooks. He's now reached 2004/5 in his project to 'fill the gap' between our early days in the 1980s and when we started creating photobooks on an annual basis from 2010 onwards. Just two more books to go and this work, which he began in the middle of 2012 by scanning negatives, will be complete.

I took my blip as we crossed the Meadows. It's a beautiful day and the blossom is almost out. If we were in 'normal' times, there would be many people on the grass picnicking, sunbathing, and setting up barbecues.

Exercise today: 9 mile bike ride.
