Ewan aka Dr Branestawm

At last the sun has come to these northern parts. It came at 3:00 pm after a chilly overcast morning which deterred this lady from venturing out for a route march. I did a little skipping instead and I use the word ‘little’ advisedly.

I have to say it felt more like a Sunday than a Saturday, but then so did yesterday and the day before, and the day before .....ad inf.
The morning was happily broken by phone calls to two daughters and a visit from Porty daughter on 2 wheels to collect an Easter chicken and a Lindt Rabbit. She stood outside at regulation distance and did not unfortunately bring any fudge. There is a suggestion going the rounds that face masks should be worn indoors, not to avoid the virus, but to avoid eating.

I did get out for my walk round the Meadows eventually but found it busy with sweaty joggers and family cyclists. I found it best to walk on the grass rather than do a stylised avoidance dance on the paths.

I have borrowed this photo of Ewan dressing up today as Professor Branestawm. His big sister Nina used the clothes to dress up for Book Day at her school several years ago. He has a certain eccentric look which seems to suit him.
