Shorter by Water

After days of endless rain there were numerous flood warnings in place for the area, a good day not to cycle to work! Despite all the warnings and advice not to travel unless absolutely necessary, work was busy, and mostly with injuries that were at least a few days old... seriously!!

Eventually the bridge was shut so that stopped them. It also meant a mass depart in my colleagues van to get back across the Wharfe via Pool and back to Otley to get the rest of the cars. Usually the bridge stays open for pedestrians longer than it does for vehicles. Not today!!
