Hot Cross Buns

Another first, I've not made hot cross buns before. They took hours, but then I have hours. Dough proved for 3 hours, then add the fruit, leave another hour,  make 12 buns, leave for another hour. Finally bake . 

While the dough proved I did more weeding and an hour's Tai Chi. Also a family Skype quiz with Yorkshire, London, Kent, Edinburgh, Norway and Cumbria on the call. The winner has to organise next weeks.  

Day 24. 
980 deaths, the highest yet making 8958 in total. We continue to be told to stay in doors but I'm wondering what % of the population continue to have to go into work. Think of all those in factories, warehouses, shops, sorting offices, laboratories , garages,  schools, sewage works, energy suppliers etc etc that all need people, as well as the NHS and the care homes and the  hospices  . I hope they are all able to work safely and suspect that many can't which is why the virus is still spreading. We desperately need more testing.
