Team work

After finding that the vide grenier (attic sale) we'd hoped to go to this morning had been cancelled the whole morning was left free for some more demolition. This time it was the old chimney that goes up inside the house, safe to take down now the the part above the roof has been removed by the professionals. The house looks a terrible mess and it would be impossible to live in a house with this sort of work going on, but this wonderful father and son team is making great progress.

Where we are now (for the record):
The chimney people have demolished the external chimney and now the internal part of it is down too. The electrician will come next week to re-route the wires that were attached to walls that have now been demolished. The old bathroom has been removed apart from the loo which now stands in the open, looking very odd. We're making a lot of plans for the new bathroom (that professional plumbers will make), a redesigned kitchen, and all the tiling and renewing of the damaged parts of the floor......there's far more to it than I imagined when we started, but it will be worth it!
