Well, I didn't think I'd get this far. Sort of addictive isn't it? A local friend has used child labour to dig out and prepare a garden pond using clay. I helped out today with a donation, left at the gate, of oxygenators, tadpoles and a selection of watery bugs and beetles. It was a swap for some eggs from her hens. She can have some lilies and other pond plants next week. I wish I could swap something for strawberries.
