Tree Sparrow

The only birds in evidence today were the tree sparrows sitting in the wild plum, their feathers fluffed up against the cold. It's about -15 although there is bright sunshine. The sparrows are parked close to the spades-full of millet I put under the old pine tree. They were quite happy for me to stand very close. No sign of the tits or greenfinches.
