Gym
"It's important for those who are cocooned to get regular exercise. If you have a garden, walking around that is better than nothing." Yeah. Right. My semi-d front and back gardens don't offer much walking-around space, I'm afraid. Getting stuff in from the garage doesn't amount to much in terms of exercise, and sitting on the narrow paved area beside the front of the house is even less entitled to be called 'exercise'.
No, I've found during the past ten days that the stairs have become my own private gym. All too often I'll go downstairs and have to go back up because I've forgotten something, or I'll go upstairs and have to go back down because I've left my phone charging in the dining room. (It's best to forget the times I'l go up or down and forget what the reason was for doing that.) Anyway, bottom line — the stairs is (are?) yer only man when it comes to a built-in source of exercise throughout the day.
I sure am glad I don't live in a bungalow!
