Lockdown: Day 17

Opening the bedroom curtains this morning I noticed a bird box in a tree over the road. It looks new. Out with the binoculars and I spotted a bluetit behind the hole. Later it flew in and out a few times. It’s much too far away for photos but we will certainly be keeping an eye on activity. There were photos on the website of the local newspaper today ......... Jacobs sheep wandering the streets of Ambleside and a Roe deer that that was freed by the fire service after being trapped by it's antlers in a football net

After lunch the daily mile. On the way back we met a neighbour just setting off for her walk so had a chat* across the road. Then I was brave and did some weeding, hoping that Mrs from next door wouldn’t appear. I’m ashamed** at how many weeds I had to pull out.

I’ve blipped these primulas (which I didn't plant) at the edge of the lawn before but they are more photogenic than their yellow cousins which proliferate elsewhere in the garden.

*  There’s only one who isn’t speaking to me.
** I’m also ashamed at the number of biscuits I’m eating.
