....where did it all go?.......
Less than 28 hours ago we had 9-10 inches of snow at home and this place had 6-8 inches.
Last night around 7.30 it warmed up to 3 degrees C and started to rain....this was the view this morning around 10.00. Nearly all gone and the ice on the ponds starting to break up.
No fishing today...obviously....but I nipped out to see the boys.
Now I'm just about to set off on a 100+ mile journey to my Dad's....so I can take him to my Aunty Josie's funeral tomorrow. It's at 11.00....just that awkward time....the Boss has one more night shift to do so she can't come....there's no way I could pick her up in the morning and get there in time....so over to Dad's...stay the night....go to the funeral....take him back home....drive the 100+ miles back here.....quiz tomorrow night and then back to work on Tuesday....with all the catching up to do from having four days off with flu.
I may add to this blip this evening....if anything interesting happens on the journey....or this evening.
Das vidanya moy padruga.
So I got here safe and sound about 4.30......to find no food suitable for two people for dinner....no bed made up....and Dad not properly dressed. One swift rollocking and he was dressed and had his coat on ready to go and eat....had to point out that no-one eats dinner at 5.00 on a Sunday afternoon. We have now been out for an Indian....a first for Dad. Oh, he's had takeaway....but never been to an Indian restaurant.....I ordered....and he paid......poppadoms and chutneys....a mixed kebab for him, with an onion bhaji....butterfly prawn for me.....chicken dhopiaza for Dad....rogan josh for me...pilau rice and keema naan....give him his due he ate almmost all of his share without a whimper!i]
Das vidanya again moy padruga.
