You're Going Down...

A glint of red caught my eye on the Fritillaries this morning, and then another... In the end there were only three, but now there are none. For now.

Scarlet Lily Beetles are ever so pretty, but they're called lily beetles because they love 'em. They love to eat 'em and lay egg's in 'em, and then the larvae eat 'em too. Fritillaries are of course part of the lily family.

Apart from that it's been a very quiet day again. Table tennis is a welcome diversion, as are video chats and the occasional distancing visitor (We were brought a loaf of bread today!). It does feel an idle life though.

Even after five years of retirement it feels really weird just to sit and read in the garden, or play music, without any need to be any place else.
