The Billion Women Dance: practice continues

Another early rising session today in which I was down at the Forum at 10am for another practice session of the 'Break the Chain' dance in preparation for the VDay international day of action on 14th February to raise awareness of the scale of the issue of violence against women and demand that it stops.

About a dozen people turned up and it was clear that people had been practising at home, watching the tutorial video, and there was a fabulous feeling of fun and togetherness. The spontaneous whooping that broke out was particularly fab.

Time to get started to draw up an operating plan for the event, to ensure all goes well on the day.

It's amazing what a bit of leaping around in the sun with friends can do to lift the spirits.
