A Crowded Plate of Cookies

Mrs Edinburgh Chap went with Emma to watch the Strictly Live show in Glasgow, leaving me with Jonathan and Jessica. I decided to do some baking with them.

M&Ms cookies seemed within reach in culinary terms, and will be a handy gift for Jonathan to take to this afternoon's play date.

This crowded plateful is the result of an hour's work, and not a huge amount in terms of raw ingredients. And the children think they're magicians. I'm more of a cook than a baker, but there's nothing like baking for the sheer joy of transforming unappetising-looking slop into a tasty treat.
