The days are merging into another
The days are merging together. Its hard to believe we are 2 and a half weeks into lockdown now. The days feel all much the same.
So what did we do today...
We got up late (well late for us anyway, about 8am). Had breakfast, played for a while and then went for a nice walk with the girls pushing their dolls prams. We posted some thank you letters and chatted (at a distance) to Elinor, our next door neighbour at our old house
We got home and had lunch. The girls love noodles at the moment so they had noodles, cucumber, carrots and grapes. A slightly odd combo but they liked it!
After lunch we painted the salt dough ornaments and painted easter egg pictures to put in the windows, replacing the rainbows which have got a bit tatty now.
The girls played in the garden. I phoned Don to check on his chest infection and it was a relief that he sounds much better. I phoned Auntie Margaret too and had a nice chat.
After the girls went to bed I did an online Body Combat class and enjoyed it. John was tired so had an early night.
In a way lock down is horrid because we miss everyone terribly and all our activities and all the cancelled plans, but in a way, it is also lovely - no rush to do anything, no need to look or dress a certain way, no pressure to fit in or be sociable. It does shift ones perspective on life. I hope that fresh perspective doesn't get forgotten after lockdown lifts.
