A Different World.

I don't often mention my work here on Blipfoto but, mainly for my own benefit when I look back, I want to use today's Blip as an opportunity to pay tribute to my colleagues who are working tirelessly through these horrendously difficult times. They are not nurses or doctors but I really don't know where we would be without them.

Approaching any other Easter weekend the Oyster Bar & Deli would be buzzing with energy, ready for the start of a busy summer and looking forward to welcoming visitors from across the planet.
This van would be delivering to hotels and restaurants across Scotland.

Instead we have been plunged into a different alien world.
The Oyster Bar & Deli are closed, the A83 is almost silent and the van is working flat out delivering not only our products but household essentials to homes across Argyll. Instead of being a luxury we are now a lifeline!

Because of social distancing and remote working there are very few of us on site so the atmosphere is certainly anything but normal.
There is, however, a great spirit that I hope will live on long after this crazy virus has gone.

Having said that, I dream of the day when we go back to "normal", preferably old normal, not a new normal.

Wherever you are, stay safe and thanks for your comments, favourites and stars. You really have no idea how important it is to me.
