Mum. 15/07/1936 - 08/04/2020

Mum had been in a care home with dementia for 8 and a half years. This morning they rang to tell me she became unwell overnight. As the day progressed her oxygen levels dropped and she passed away peacefully at 4.45pm.
She suffered from all sorts over the years, epilepsy, scoliosis, arthritis. And in October 2018 had a spell in hospital with pneumonia.
They won't put coronavirus on the death certificate as she hadn't been tested, but I'm pretty sure that is the case. A couple of others in her care home have been hospitalised and confirmed.
I last saw her on 7th March, just before they put the restriction on visiting, she was happy and well which is how I will remember her. We spoke on the phone 2 days ago, she sounded fine and then yesterday the home sent me this picture of her. I'd been posting her cards and magazines.
She is free now of all this suffering in the world. I am so sad, but relieved she went quickly without any distress. Love you Mum.
