Plastic Animals

A superb and busy day.

Started the day at the Story Telling Centre with the family, the morning show was superb and very funny. I then headed over to Glasgow to meet up with some old school friends from Hamilton.

I had a self indulgent couple of hours wandering the street of the city and familiarized myself with how beautiful it is when the sun shines and you are away from the crowds. I headed to Goma and the installation they have on is brilliant. It is two large screens, one showing a warehouse of goods and trinkets from Asia, the other is a travelogue through various parts of Asia, The sound is all someone reading from Marco Polos Travels in Asia. I found it totally captivating. Go and see it if you are in the area.

Met the guys which was great to catch up. I then headed down to the 13th Note with one them and we caught and couple of bands, 1st up Black International, Very loud, just a drummer and guitarist, Pretty Good. Next up the band I wanted to see, Plastic Animals, they were really good, I need to try and find some recorded material and see what the difference between record and live is. I never hung about for the third band, as I wanted to get the 10.30 home, I couldn't face being on the pished bampot filled last train.
