Wanaka Station Park

This park is on the opposite side of the lake to yesterday’s track. I enjoy walking through these trees and then down to the lakeside to Waterfall Creek. We returned via the road as there is so little traffic about. We stopped and talked to people we knew- and 21/2 hours later we got home again!

We were given some quince, so I thought I’d make some quince jelly which goes nicely on crackers with blue cheese. What a long process! It included baking the quince in water in the oven on a low heat over night! Then all the standing and stirring of the mixture after peeling, chopping and mixing.
Next time we are offered some quince, I will politely decline!
