Route march

The husband is very good at route marches with the boys, except you can't route march the youngest, if he's not up for it, he won't do it.

Not our finest day.  The boys woke up very, very 'otherwise', as my mother in law would say.  If one wanted to go one way, the other would be adamant they wanted to go the other.  Tears over a pair of red trousers, tears over the lost key-ring from the same pair of trousers, tears because mummy hasn't got around to buying a new pair of red trousers, tears over the loss of a padlock (I can't even remember we had it), tears over the use of a yoga mat, tears over the yoga mat being in the wrong place - and we haven't even got to 10am yet...

Had a disastrous walk with the boys, endless calls with work sorting out a mini disaster.  Cries of 'we want to go home' from the boys, then when we turned for going home, cries that they each wanted to get there a different way, before the youngest refused to walk anyway.  I've now hurt my back after carrying a bike, two tops and a child.

The husband had a far better afternoon walk with the boys, although we're really not sure what has happened to them today and my only hope is that sleep returns them to their normal selves by tomorrow morning!

Work is still proving to be tough.

Today I'm grateful for:
Getting to the end of the day (seriously, we were glad to see bedtime for the boys!)
Family who were hungry enough to eat the pie I made whilst also on the phone to various people and so was not exactly the best
Some very nice cuddles this morning with the boys
