Playing the fool

Mono Monday: Favourite Things

Short of brown paper parcels tied up with string I went with that old standby - playing the fool for Blip, to try to make you smile :-)

I suppose it could also be taken to be: guitar based live music (particularly the blues), posing, showing off, seeking the limelight, dressing up or even playing the guitar :-) 

Its not my best photo ever, but I think you get the picture ...

Our day started off with a leaking water pipe which fortunately does not seem to have done too much damage. We've got the carpet up in one bedroom and are hoping that everything will dry out without causing any fungal problems.  The water didn't actually get much further than making one of the downstairs ceilings damp in a couple of spots, so we may have been lucky - time will tell.

After that I spent a couple of hours trying to deal with Dad's papers, and speaking to one of the banks he has an account with who are being a little difficult, to put it mildly.  I also ended up speaking to his new GP who was actually a really sensible and sensitive chap, although inevitably he needed to discuss Dad's end of life care choices in case the worst came to the worst.  Fortunately it is something that we had discussed with him back in 2014 so we new what he wanted. :-)
