Sue's Seat
Tim and I went for a fabulous walk today, around Leith Hill in Surrey. We were well prepared for it to be pretty soggy and muddy, but hadn't really anticipated that it might still be snowy. The snow slowed us down a lot, but everything looked so pretty, and we were happy to shorten the walk and just enjoy the sights.
This S-shaped seat, known as 'Sue's Seat' was built by craftsman Mike Murray (with the help of his friends and relatives) to commemorate the life of his wife, Sue. It incorporates over 2.5 tonnes of oak, and can seat up to 60 people.
This evening we met up with our friends Richard and Cris to see Jenny Eclair at Blackheath Halls. I wasn't really expecting too much, but ended up crying with laughter at some parts of her act. A brilliant Saturday!
